Rolex Rolex 2013 Basel World Oyster Perpetual Greenwich Ii

In 1959, Pan Am launched the first non-continental non-stop flight connecting New York and Moscow. At that time, the crew wore Rolex Rolex Oyster Perpetual Greenwich watches. The watch can clearly show the time in two time zones, becoming the official watch of Pan American Airlines, the most famous airline in the golden age of civil aviation, and it is a necessary timepiece widely recognized by pilots.
At the Baselworld Watch & Jewellery Fair 2013, Rolex launched the new 904L stainless steel Oyster Perpetual Greenwich II watch. The rotating outer ring uses the blue and black CERACHROM ceramic word ring for the first time. Blue represents day, Black stands for night.

Rolex’s exclusive two-tone CERACHROM ceramic word ring
The new CERACHROM ceramic word circle is a great achievement of Rolex in technology and aesthetics. Using patented technology developed by Rolex, two ceramic materials with different colors are made into a whole word circle. This design echoes the traditional two-tone bezel of the first Greenwich and Greenwich II watches.
CERACHROM ceramic word ring came out in 2005. It has strong anti-scratch and anti-corrosion performance, and it will not fade even when exposed to ultraviolet rays. Its surface is diamond-polished for superior gloss. In the 24-hour progressive scale of the word circle, a thin layer of platinum is filled by PVD (Physical Vapour Deposition) coating technology developed by Rolex.

Oyster case: symbol of water resistance and solidity
The Greenwich II watch has an oyster case diameter of 40 mm and a water resistance of 100 meters (330 feet). The distinctive middle case is cast from 904L stainless steel, which is extremely resistant to corrosion. The triangular-shaped bottom case is screwed tightly by Rolex watchmakers with special tools exclusive to the brand to completely seal the case. The winding crown adopts a patented triple-lock triple waterproof system, which is firmly screwed to the case and protected by a crown shoulder that is integrated with the middle case. The mirror is made of scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, and a small window convex lens is installed at 3 o’clock to make it easier to read the date. The fully sealed Oyster case provides the best protection for the highly accurate movement of the Greenwich II.
Calibre 3186, top precision timepiece
The Greenwich II watch uses a 3186 automatic mechanical movement developed entirely by Rolex with a calendar window and a second time zone display. Like all Rolex movements, the 3186 calibre has also received the Swiss Official Accreditation for Timepieces, which is specifically awarded to precision watches that have successfully passed the Swiss Precision Timepiece Testing Center (COSC) test. The exquisite design and high-quality production process of this movement make it unparalleled in accuracy and reliability. The heart of the watch, the balanced swinging component, uses Rolex’s patented blue PARACHROM hairspring, and is made of an alloy that Rolex has exclusively cast. This hairspring is not affected by magnetic fields, and can still perform stably under temperature changes. The shock resistance is 10 times higher than that of traditional hairsprings.
Solid Link Safety Discount Strap
The new Greenwich II watch is equipped with a 904L stainless steel solid link oyster strap with an oyster safety clasp to prevent accidental opening of the buckle; a cleverly designed Rolex patented easy-to-adjust simple chain extension system The strap can easily be extended by about 5 mm, making it more comfortable to wear in all situations.
